To understand the artistry of clothing one must look at its history from designers to periods etc. Clothes are a direct representation of societies trials, and tribulations. If you pay close enough attention you can see what is going on in the world by looking at clothes. Now we are going thru a true period of influx. We are in chaos and trying to find a pathway to uniformity. The old guard is dying off and the new guard is trying to find its place.

Who are you trying to convey

The game of attraction ahhh we all play it and choose our partners accordingly. being communal we identify with certain groups and emulate  them so that we are accepted and thus find ourselves in the pecking order as it were. Then there is evolution we must evolve so that we survive The ever changing social order that has its own form of Darwinism so how do we do this well good question. You see we do not want to be our parents and with technology at our forefront we want to have a look that embraces our ideals and yet expresses our generation has matured.
Cubicles have come down social interaction is incouraged and then comes mating, dating. We want to attract a partner for it is time for nesting or preparing to do so well you gotta look mature, together, and mate material.
Tech companies are having to employ dress policies for proper representation and over all projection of proper image. Tesla has done an amazing job of this for their look is clean current and truly represents the modern tech generation. Keep your eyes on Tesla for Elon Musk is a visionary.

Food for thought

We all love beautiful things but do not want to pay high prices and feel that it is vulgar to buy imitations. Well there are several solutions Ebay, The Real Real, Outlet stores., great on line shopping sites. The possibilities are endless and yes where do I find the time to do this.,, hire a personal shopper who is savvy and quick. Do not hire some ego driven dimwit who insults your intelligence with name spewing and blah,blah blah not get someone who wants to help and is sincere... They are out there and I know a few one I particular is me Dh2 designs.

Honesty is the best policy

I do not care where you shop or with whom, remember it is your dollar and you are going to have to wear as well as pay for these items. Get yourself a salesperson or personal stylist that is honest with you. Granted we love compliments and such but a fluffy ego when the dust settles can be damaged by the insult that is left with absurdly rediculous clothes that say nothing about besides the fact that you were gullible..
Demand respect but to do so go in with intent and ask questions do not settle. Case and point the bohemian look is in but may say nothing about you so you might add a fringe accessory etc.. Know who you are and or if you want a change employ someone or a great friend that will tell you the truth.

Online Shopping

We all are guilty of it and our other sometimes better halves feel that we are out of our minds On Line Shopping. We can not sleep so we past the time away without really realizing what we have done and that is buy a whole bunch of stuff we do not need. step away from the computer and find something else todo or if we are going to shop do it with intent. Do I needi it,will I use it , will it work in my current wardrobe, ask the hard questions then if the answer is yes then by all means, but really now stop the madness...Food for thought.....

Make the right investment

Lets face it things are getting rather are expensive so we say to ourselves go cheaper buy more wrong approach. Loro Piana, Kiton, Borelli, Hermes, Tom Ford to name a few are known for style and elegance should you shop there absolutely but that does not mean you have to buy it all. Moderation is the key and buy pieces that you know you are going to use time and time again. Pay close attention to fabric, cut, fit and ask yourself will these pieces work well with my current wardrobe and if the answer is yes then by all means buy it or them.
We have got to get back to looking our best for we conduct ourselves differently and there is a powerful, yet romantic mystery that appears just look around people are paying attention and what what happens you will get looks compliments and you think you feel good now.

Lets get real

I do not understand for the life of me why the fashion industry does not embrace the fact that the average women in the USA is a size 12-14 weights 165 lbs and had nothing to wear. There is no standard of fit so she walks into a department store and she is told you are not important and do not exist, yet she has the money and will spend lavishly if only there were things that addressed her concerns and made her feel beautiful.
These women are baby boomers who have put kids through college, middle aged, body gone thru several changes due to all kinds of life experiences and has earned her womanhood through the trials and tribulations of being a woman and then after paying her dues she is told indirectly that she does not exist. Is she insulted yes, does she feel insignificant yes and last but not least we are saying that she is not beautiful.
Well here is the deal she is beautiful , she exists, she is powerful, and we need to recognize this and provide her with clothing that compliments her, makes her feel beautiful, and does not insult her pocketbook as well as intelligence. We need to speak up and have our voices heard for numbers count and once we show our power we will be heard. I as well as my colleagues love to make you beautiful and have been voicing our opinions bit until you read this and speak up nothing will be done. I am waiting to hear from you all speak up.

when dressing one should take into consideration color fit fabric and intent. We are immediately judged by our appearance so we need to be aware of what we rather how we want to be perceived. Always put your best foot forward and when you look in the mirror ask yourself what am I trying to say and is how I look right now conveying that message
